ASUS ROG Phone 7 And ROG Phone 7 Ultimate Officially Launched – Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

After being teased for so long, ASUS has finally officially revealed the full design and specifications of their most popular series of smart gaming devices. Now, ASUS ROG Phone 7 and ASUS ROG Phone 7 have been officially launched.

In terms of design, ASUS ROG Phone 7 comes with a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED HDR10+ screen display with a fast refresh rate of 165Hz. For gaming purposes and also deep media viewing, this device also comes with a brightness value as high as 1500 nits.

The device is also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processing chip, which is their most powerful processing chip on the market right now, along with up to 16GB of memory options and 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage.

On the back of this device, ASUS ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate use tempered glass Gorilla Glass 3, and for the camera part, these devices remain using the Sony IMX766 50MP main sensor, 13MP ultrawide camera and 8MP macro camera. As for the selfie camera, ASUS is seen to have upgraded it to a 32MP camera compared to 12MP on the previous model.

The main gimmick of any ASUS ROG Phone device is the AirTrigger shoulder buttons on the left and right side of the device when used horizontally. This shoulder button can be used as a shortcut button and also as a shoulder button to facilitate access to functions in the front.

AirTrigger on the latest ROG Phone 7 comes with additional functions, namely Press & Lift which allows users to access new features when pressing the AirTrigger shoulder buttons and using certain movements.

Gyroscope routing is also something newly introduced on this ROG Phone 7 device, and if you buy the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate model, you will be able to test this feature through this device's tutorial which is quite interesting.

The Armory Crate software has also been updated to not only make it easier for users to access the various settings of this device, but this time, comes with the first option that can take advantage of the various fast refresh rates of this ROG Phone 7 device, from 120Hz to 144Hz to 165Hz.

The GameCool 7 cooling system for this device has also shown a number of changes, especially in terms of the vapor chamber cooling design used, where it now has more grooves to speed up the cooling process of these components.

If you want better cooling performance, ASUS has also shown the ROG AeroActive Cooler 7 which differs from the previous AAC cooling accessories in that it now comes with a built-in speaker.

This ASUS ROG Phone 7 also comes with two 3000mAH batteries that are combined to 6000mAH, and is charged using a 65W HyperCharge charging system and is among the components that have not changed compared to before.

The ASUS ROG Phone 7 Ultimate Edition is seen to come with a design that is very similar to the basic ROG Phone 7, but comes with the fan window shown on the previous ASUS ROG Phone 6D device and also the ROG Vision panel located on the back of this device and can be changed settings text and patterns through software.

ASUS ROG Phone 7 now comes with two color options, Phantom Black and Storm White, where the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate model only comes with Stormwhite color options only.

ASUS Malaysia expects that this device will arrive in the local market this May.
