BYD YangWang U9 Super Electric Car Can Jump And Drive Using Three Tires

Electric cars are heavier than petrol powered cars. This is the reason why in the future when it is used more widely, the multi-story parking structure may collapse due to exceeding the original design limit. Despite being a super electric car, the BYD YangWang U9 that was just launched this week comes with the ability to jump up to two inches if needed.

BYD YangWang U9 is equipped with a DiSus-X active suspension system that changes according to the needs and speed of the vehicle. Because it can quickly change the height of the vehicle, it can jump when commanded. BYD did not say what the use of this feature is but it reminds us of the Mach 5 car from the animated series Speed Racer.

This suspension system also allows this car to be driven using only three tires. This feature is more practical because it can be used in an emergency if the tire is flat or explodes. The vehicle can be parked on the shoulder of the road or driven to a nearby service center. When it was announced, the BYD YangWang U9 was shown dancing on stage like a popular Lowrider car in the United States.

YangWang U9 is equipped with four electric motors that allow acceleration from 0-100 kmh in under two seconds and is also equipped that provides a travel distance of up to 700 km on a single charge.
