Generative artificial intelligence (AI) is changing how student essays are written, images are generated with text and putting some careers at risk. We can't run away from AI users who are now used in various daily applications such as Bing Search for example. For Canva users, there is now an AI that can edit clothing on the body in uploaded photos.
The Magic Edit feature that was introduced at the end of last week provides the ability to change not only the clothes worn but other elements in the photo. Use the brush tool to select the area you want to create such as a shirt for example. Then enter the text it needs to be changed to another shirt. For example changing a round collar shirt to a professional shirt.
Magic Edit will then generate a new image with the edits desired by the Canva user. This feature is currently free to use without a Pro subscription. It is limited to 25 times per day only for each user. To use it go to the Edit Photo section and the Magic Edit option. Magic Edit Beta is accessible on smartphone apps and web browsers now.
