ChatGPT Banned In Italy Due To Privacy Issues

ChatGPT's artificial intelligence (AI) has been temporarily blocked from accessing users in Italy. Action taken by Italy because there are issues regarding security and user privacy that have not been explained by OpenAI at this time. Among the main issues is that before ChatGPT accidentally leaked data about the user's credit card.

The Italian authorities also want OpenAI to explain its use of user data to ensure it complies with the GDPR bill applied in the European Union. If this is violated, OpenAI can be fined €20 million or 4% of annual revenue. Previously, the Italian authorities also imposed restrictions on the Replika chatbot because it also involved the use of user data and access to adult content by minors.

Concerns about the use of AI have become a topic of world conversation because it has threatened the work that was previously done by humans. There is already a recommendation that efforts to train existing AI be delayed for six months to study the risks of its use on humans in the near future. In Malaysia, the Ministry of Higher Education has already started a study on the use of AI in the field of education.
