For smartphones OLED screens are the best because they have better color quality, darker blacks and consume less power. A few years ago, this OLED screen panel was only used on premium devices, but since recently, even basic and mid-range devices have been using this quality component.
In China the OLED market is said to have increased by almost 40% this year alone because more and more device manufacturers in China are using this screen panel for their respective devices. Sources state that in 2023 there will be 220 million OLED panels shipped which is 38% of the global OLED market. This is also a 10% increase compared to 2021.
Just look at devices like the Redmi Note 12 series where all three devices use OLED panels. What about the Poco F5 Pro device, the newly launched Nova 11 also uses this OLED screen, and many more.
The majority of the world's OLED market is still held by Samsung which is 56% with BOE now in second place beating LG. BOE also intends to market 120 million OLEDs this year and they hold 12% of the world market, LG is 11%, Visionox and others are 6% and 5%.
