This function allows you to freeze the account immediately through the CIMB Clicks Application and also the CIMB OCTO Application when you identify that a suspicious transaction has occurred on your bank account.

Once your bank account is frozen, you cannot log in and make any transactions temporarily. But don't worry, you can still access your bank account through an ATM machine or at any CIMB bank branch.

Once you are sure your banking account is safe and want to unfreeze your bank account, you can do so by contacting the CIMB Consumer Call Center and doing the account verification process. You are also advised to change the password once you are able to access the bank account again to further strengthen the security of your bank account.

Additional Precautions To Ensure The Security Of Your Bank Account

However, it is better if you take extra precautions to ensure the safety of your bank account. CIMB recommends that you download their applications only through trusted application stores such as Google Play Store, Apple App Store and HUAWEI AppGallery.

Not only that, if you detect a suspicious transaction taking place, you are requested to immediately activate the Lock Clicks ID feature and inform the bank by contacting the Customer Call Center at +603-6204 7788. Then, you are also required to change the password after reactivation account access and make a police report for further investigation.
