Deepak Patil Replaces Raja Koduri To Lead AXG Graphics Group At Intel

Raja Koduri has left his position at Intel as the chief architect of the company's graphics division, and recently, Intel seems to have found the most suitable individual to replace him.

His name is Deepak Patil, and he will take the position of CVP (Corporate Vice President) in the Intel AXG (Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics) division replacing Raja Koduri who has held the position since 2017.

Raja Koduri has developed Intel's graphics division from the ground up by leading projects such as Ponte Vecchio and also the Intel Arc series of graphics cards, for which he has led the development of the Arc Alchemist, Arc Battlemage and Arc Celestial graphics chips.

Deepak Patil was previously Chief Technology and Strategy Officer at Intel's Data Center and Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) division. He was also previously one of the founders of Azure technology at Microsoft, and headed the APEX-as-a-Service division at Dell.

It is hoped that under the management of Deepak Patil, Intel's strategy to market their Intel Arc series of graphics cards is not so complicated and coincides with the wishes of users who want more competition in the market.
