DJI Inspire 3 Cinematography Drone Sold At Prices Reaching RM72,000

DJI drones are popular among videography enthusiasts because they make it easy to shoot from the air. For major film production companies, the DJI Inspire 3 was launched this morning, a professional cinematography drone that comes with a Zenmuse X9-8K Air camera that can record video at 8K 75p resolution.

According to DJI, the Zenmuse X9-8K Air is the lightest full-frame camera on the market today. It is equipped with CineCore 3.0 image processing system. The camera is held by a gimbal that allows for 360 degree rotation and tilting up to 80 degrees. In addition to 8K recording, the camera can also record 4K 120FPS ProRES SAW video. The lenses used are from the DL family.

The design of the Inspire 3's body is more aerodynamic allowing it to move at a speed of 10 m/s horizontally and 8 m/s vertically. Through the double antenna system, the GPS location accuracy of this drone is within centimeters. The antenna also allows the drone to be flown up to 15km from the pilot.

Because it is designed for use by professional film crews, the Inspire 3 can be controlled by three users simultaneously. One pilot, one gimbal controller and one controls camera focus. With the new TB51 dual battery, the Inspire 3 can fly for up to 28 minutes on a single charge. For those interested DJI Inspire 3 will be sold at a price of $16,499 (~RM72,369) next June.
