Elon Musk Has Fired 80% of Twitter Staff

After Elon Musk took over Twitter, he began a drastic workforce reduction process to cut costs. In an interview with the BBC, Musk revealed that he has fired more than 6,000 Twitter employees, equivalent to 80% of the company's workforce so far.

Drastic measures were taken because according to Musk, Twitter only had 4 months to operate with a cash flow of -$3 billion. He added that Twitter is now more stable with advertisers starting to return to the platform. Downsizing may help Twitter in the short term but various other issues have arisen that to some extent make the experience of using the site not as good as it was in the pre-purchase era.
