Google is now lagging behind OpenAI which is currently the leader in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Through ChatGPT and GPT-4, OpenAI demonstrates the capabilities of AI in everyday use. Google's answer is Bard which currently has no comparable performance.
According to Android Authority, the team behind Assitant virtual assistant was restructured by Google last week. The focus is now fully on Bard to ensure it is more competitive. Assistant vice president of engineering Jianchang Mao has left the company while his Assistant vice president of engineering Amar Subramaya now leads Bard's engineering division.
It is not known what the impact will be on Assistant, which yesterday was seen as the most popular AI product at Google. Over the past few years, Assistant is no longer present with innovations with various interesting features such as Duplex is only given to users in the United States even though before it was promised to be given to all.
