Honor Magic Vs is also launched in Malaysia at a price of RM5999

Honor Magic5 and Magic5 Pro launched in Malaysia today. But we feel the focus is more on the Honor Magic Vs which is the first flagship foldable phone from Honor in Malaysia. It is of the dual-screen type with an external 6.45″ OLED 120Hz screen that has a screen ratio similar to a regular candybar phone.

On the inside, there is a 7.9″ OLED 90Hz screen that can be folded. HDR10+ content can be enjoyed on both screens. This internal screen also supports stylus support but it is not offered at all and without storage built into the body of the device.

The device uses a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, up to 12GB RAM memory, up to 512GB storage and a 5000 mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging support. This makes Magic Vs the largest capacity foldable screen device to date.

The camera specifications are 54MP wide angle, 50MP ultra wide angle, and 8MP telephoto with 3X optical zoom equipped with OIS. This main camera can do digital zoom up to 30X. On the front, the same 16MP sensor is used for the selfie camera and another 16MP camera is placed on the foldable screen.

The device also comes with stereo speakers, a fingerprint scanner on the side, and an infrared emitter on the top of the device. It also uses MagicOS 7.1 which is based on Android 13. It's a bit disappointing that Magic Vs doesn't have waterproof capabilities like Z Fold4.

In Malaysia Honor Magic5 Vs is sold at a price of RM5999 each in Black, and Cyan. In conjunction with the official launch in Malaysia, Honor offers a warranty to replace both damaged screens in the first 180 days. Also given is a free gift worth RM2200 with every pre-order opened today 6 April. The open sale of the device will only be done on April 28.
