India's first Apple Store finally opened in Mumbai yesterday showing their seriousness to market the device in the world's second largest smartphone market after China. Apple BKC in Mumbai fully uses sustainable electricity sources like all other Apple Stores in the world.

It is Apple's first official store even though they have entered the Indian market for the past quarter of a century. Tim Cook and Deirdre O'Brien who is Apple's vice president of marketing personally opened Apple BKC with another Apple Store opening in Delhi today.

The store has 100 staff members who can speak 20 languages. There is a solar panel on the side of the Apple BKC that can supply the necessary electrical power for operation. India is now one of the important production centers for Apple as they no longer focus on manufacturing in China.

For readers in Malaysia, Malaysia's first Apple Store will open in TRX later with construction still underway. There is no date when the operation will start which is certain that the recruitment of retail staff was done a few months ago.
