Meta has previously stated that it will end support for NFT-related projects on Facebook and Instagram previously. In parallel, Instagram has now started informing users that NFT support on the social application will end on April 11, 2023.
Instagram says users will be able to continue displaying their NFT shares as regular shares – while the blockchain-related info for them will no longer be displayed after that date.
Previously, Meta intended to promote full NFT support, including allowing users to publish or “mint” their digital collections via Instagram. However, that did not happen, and the NFT integration project has now been canceled by Meta.
