Intel Battlemage And Celestial Processing Chips Will Be Developed By TSMC

Technically, Intel and TSMC are competitors where these two companies are known for the production of high-powered semiconductor chips. However, TSMC is still seen as far ahead of Intel in this aspect, although Intel has their own plans with the IDM 2.0 process.

Recently, it has been reported that Intel's second and third generation processor chip series, namely Intel Arc Battlemage and Arc Celestial will be developed by TSMC's 4nm and 3nm processes. As previously reported, the Intel Arc Battlemage graphics card is expected to be introduced around the middle of 2024.

What is interesting is the Arc Celestial graphics card, which is expected to be introduced around 2026, and will also be developed by TSMC using the 3nm N3X process and is expected to be introduced to the global market in 2026.

Before this it was expected that the Arc Celestial graphics card would be developed by Intel using their own semiconductor chip development process, but it seems that it will not be ready by the specified date.

Intel Arc Battlemage is said to use an Intel Xe2 graphics processing chip, and may feature a graphics card that can compete with premium class graphics cards produced by AMD and NVIDIA.

Raja Koduri who recently left Intel was seen doing the same when he headed the graphics division at AMD, providing processes and roadmaps for future products so that the companies could easily develop these components.
