Intel Halts Volume Production of 11th Generation Tiger Lake Processing Chips

Intel has recently released a Product Change Notification (PCN) document announcing that a larg number of their 11th generation Tiger Lake series of processing chips will be discontinued.

This includes a series of processing chips from the Intel Core i3 series up to the Intel Core i9 and comes with a number of Intel Xeon W processing chips of the generation. Among the processor chip series affected by this announcement include a large number of Intel Tiger Lake-H processor chip series for laptops.

Despite this, Intel also said that not all Tiger Lake processing chips will be affected by this. Models like the Intel Core i7-11390H and Intel Core i5-11320H with built-in image processors are still to be developed.

The new Intel Tiger Lake series of processing chips was launched around 2019-2020, and is not an old series of processing chips, but it is seen that the demand for their 12th and 13th generation processing chips far exceeds the demand for the old chips, so it is likely that Intel wants to focus their resources on developing these new processing chips.

Intel has also confirmed that the last order for Tiger Lake processing chips will be on June 30, 2023. The delivery of these processing chips depends on the model ordered, but the last delivery of these processing chips that will be discontinued will be on January 26, 2024. .
