MacBook Air With OLED Screen Reportedly Now In Development

Apple will use OLED screens on more of their products soon. We have already reported on the iPad with this screen and the MacBook will also receive the same offer.

The latest report from The Elec states that Apple is developing a MacBook Air with an OLED screen. This screen panel will be produced by Samsung Display and is said to be 13.3″ in size.

Apple chose Samsung because LG is busy producing OLED panels for the iPad Pro 11″ and 13″. At the same time, Samsung is also said to be producing an OLED iPad 11″ panel.

Apple wants their products such as the iPad Pro, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air to all use OLED screen panels. It's just that for now it's still uncertain when this transition will begin. Previous reports claimed that the MacBook Air with an OLED screen would only arrive around 2024.

The Elec states that the MacBook Air may be the first laptop Apple will use an OLED screen because it is a test to see whether or not this panel is suitable for use on the MacBook Pro.
