Microsoft Is Developing Its Own AI Chip In Effort To Cut Costs

 

Microsoft is now reportedly developing its own chip focused on artificial intelligence, which is expected to compete with NVIDIA's offering. With the development of its own chip, Microsoft aims to reduce costs, in addition to optimizing their chips for artificial intelligence offerings such as ChatGPT and others.

Today, NVIDIA is the leading provider of servers used for artificial intelligence. Various companies are now racing to get NVIDIA chips, in line with the increasing development of artificial intelligence by various companies around the world.

It is said that this development will not completely replace NVIDIA's offering, but will help Microsoft in reducing their costs. Not to mention that Microsoft is now integrating artificial intelligence into various products, including Bing and Microsoft Office.
