Motorola Edge 40 Pro Launched With 165Hz Screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 125W Charging

Motorola updates its flagship device with a new offering through the Edge 40 Pro. It comes with a curved body on the front and back panels, and also passes the IP68 waterproof rating for added protection. The screen is like a small hole in the middle which also contains a 60MP selfie camera.

The experience is enhanced with a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen that also supports a 165Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. This is also matched with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, 12GB RAM memory (LPDDR5X) and 256GB internal storage (UFS4.0) as the mainstay of the device. The battery is 4,600mAh which also comes with a 125W wired and 15W wireless charging system.

For the camera setup, Motorola uses a 1/1.55″ 50MP main camera with OIS. It is then followed by a second lens of 50MP (ultra wide angle) and 12MP for telephoto. 8K recording can also be made using the main camera, while the selfie camera is limited to 4K.

Motorola also promises updates for up to three years for the operating system and security system for up to four years. The device is sold at €899.99 with two color options such as Lunar Blue and Interstrellar Black. It is still not clear about its offer in Malaysia but the Motorola Edge 30 Pro was previously available at RM2699.
