Samsung And AMD Continue Collaboration Bringing Radeon Graphics On Exynos Chips

Samsung and AMD signed an agreement continuing their collaboration to offer AMD Radeon chips on Exynos mobile chips. Although their first venture was not very successful, the two companies agreed to continue their collaboration for a few more years.

Last year the Exynos 2200 chip with Samsung Xclipse GPU was successfully produced for mobile chips based on AMD's RDNA 2 architecture. It is the first GPU for mobile chips to bring support for ray tracing and variable rate shading which is now also supported by Qualcomm and MediaTek chips.

Samsung has yet to wave the white flag to develop an Exynos chip that has the best performance of the flagship Snapdragon chip. Efforts to develop Exynos for Galaxy are still continuing with the original target of launching a special chip for this Galaxy device in 2025.
