Samsung Is Developing Electric Car-Like Stackable Battery Technology For Smartphones

Samsung is now reportedly developing a stackable battery technology that is ready for use in batteries in electric cars – and may implement it in batteries in phones, laptops and the like.

Today, Samsung SDI (battery development division) is ready to develop stacked battery technology and is used for the development of electric car batteries.

Under the technology, materials such as anodes, cathodes and others are stacked on top of each other, allowing more compact batteries to be produced with higher energy storage rates.

It is estimated that with this technology, it is able to increase the energy saving rate by around 10% compared to before.

For now, it is not yet known when we will be able to see the implementation of this new battery technology on smartphones. With Samsung having experienced a battery crisis on the Galaxy Note 7 before, they must be more careful in the introduction of any new battery features or technology after this.
