Shein Now Targets US – Says Risky Data Management, Besides Non-Transparent Business Methods

After TikTok, now the United States is targeting the Shein platform, saying there are risks in data management, among other things.

The two applications that are currently being targeted by the United States are Shein and Temu. In addition to data management, it is also associated with copyright infringement through offerings on their applications.

Shein is one of the applications that offers clothing and fashion products - allowing users to get at a more competitive price than other competitors. It was founded in China, and is now based in Singapore.

The United States said Shein failed to protect consumer data, and also said Shein failed to disclose that they sourced their clothing products from forced labor. In addition, Shein was also linked to stealing other brands' designs, and said it had an impact on the environment.

In addition to Shein, Temu was also targeted by the United States.
