Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Reportedly Uses 1+5+2 Cores Configuration

 


This year Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 comes with a 1+4+3 core configuration which is different from the usual 1+3+4 core configuration on Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. There is a lot of hope that Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be able to offer more significant performance improvements when it is announced at the end of this year.



According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will use a 1+5+2 core configuration. One Cortex-X4 core, five performance cores and two more power-saving cores. Through this configuration, the chip will have higher power for heavy tasks. This is paired with the new Adreno 750 GPU.


This year sees the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which is not only more powerful but offers power consumption savings and resolves heat issues after long initial sessions. For users of flagship Android devices, this improvement is definitely something to look forward to.
