Sony, through its subsidiary Sony Semiconductor Solutions, is currently investing in the Raspberry Pi. However, the value of the investment and also the amount of stake that will be taken by Sony on Raspberry Pi is not specified.
Raspberry Pi is one of the providers that offers circuits and components in the development of a mini computer. Many technology enthusiasts, developers, even teachers and students use Raspberry Pi in learning, as a hobby or in the development of a number of projects based on robotics and so on.
With this investment by Sony, in addition to financial access, developers will also be able to access the Sony AITRIOS platform which enables the development of applications with the use of artificial intelligence for camera sensors.
This new investment also comes as the industry is focusing on the development of artificial intelligence, machine learning and even robotics.
