The Sony WF-C700N was announced this morning as a more affordable alternative to the WF-1000XM4. These bud-type earphones come with features like noise cancellation, see-through mode, waterproof and 360-degree audio.
These earphones have a 5mm audio driver and only weigh 4.6 grams. Each audio bud can operate up to 5 hours with ANC and 7.5 hours without ANC. If the charging pod is used the duration of use of the WF-C700N can reach 15 hours. There is a contact on the side of the body to control the music.
Music tethering is via bluetooth 5.2 with SBC and AAC codec support. No LDAC support is provided on this more affordable product. The WF-C700N can be tethered to two devices simultaneously.
Other interesting features included are 360 Reality Audio, Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) and Dolby Atmos audio support when paired with a Sony Bravia TV. It can also be used for exercise because it passes the IPX4 standard. The retail price of the Sony WF-C700N is £99.99 (~RM550) a pair in black, green, purple and white.
