The Eyxnos 2400 chip is being developed by Samsung and is rumored to be used in next year's Galaxy S24. Although still under development, information about the GPU to be used is starting to leak onto the web arena. The latest Exynos 2400 chip is believed to have a GPU that is four times more powerful than the GPU on the Exynos 2200.
The Exynos 2400 GPU is based on RDNA2 with 12 Compute Units (CU). For comparison the Xclipse 920 GPU on the Exynos 2200 has 3 CUs. Like previous GPUs, the ability to display graphics with Ray Tracing will also be possible. Earlier rumors also said the Exynos 2400 will also come with 10 CPU cores which is more than the 8 on the SOC used by the majority of Android devices now.
The performance of the Exynos 2200 last year was disappointing to the point that this year's Galaxy S23 series did not use Samsung's own Exynos chip at all. Even so, Samsung continued to cooperate with AMD for several more years. Samsung needs to offer a powerful chip because if it's not on par with Qualcomm and MediaTek's offerings, the future of Exynos might be a bit bleak.
