The Lotus Eletre Electric Hyper SUV is now in Malaysia with a price of up to RM800 thousand

 


Lotus Cars Malaysia, the official distributor of Lotus vehicles in Malaysia has today announced that their first electric SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) has now arrived in the local market.



Lotus Eletre is marketed in Malaysia as an SUV that can be enjoyed casually. It comes with a five-seat configuration, but you can also choose to get the Executive package that converts this five-seat configuration to four, but gives passengers additional features such as a water dispenser and also a display console that can be used to access various features such as modifications seat position.



Lotus Eletre comes in three model options, namely Lotus Eletre, Lotus Eletre S and Lotus Eletre R. Lotus Eletre and Eletre S are powered by a single speed system and offer 603hp and 710Nm of torque with 0-100km/h acceleration performance in 4.5 seconds and acceleration 80-120km/h in 2.2 seconds. Both variants are capable of reaching a maximum speed of 258km/h and a maximum driving distance (WLTP) of 600km.



The Lotus Eletre R comes with a two-speed system that offers 905hp power and 985Nm torque. It is able to reach a speed of 0-100km/h in 2.95 seconds and an acceleration of 80-120km/h in 1.9 seconds with a maximum acceleration of 265km/h. The Lotus Eletre R is the world's fastest two-motor electric SUV with a maximum driving range (WLTP) of 490km.



All three Lotus Eletre variants use a 112kWh battery and a 350kW charger that comes with a fast charging feature from 10 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes. 22kW AC charging is also available on this vehicle as a standard feature.



All variants come with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), a driver monitoring system, RearCollision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA), Lane KeepAssist and Lane Departure Warning/Prevention (LKA+), Blind Spot Detection, Traffic Sign Information (TSI), Front and Rear Park Assist, Visual Park Assist and Lotus Intelligent Dynamic Chassis Control.


What is interesting here is that the Lotus Eletre all come with the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) security system which Lotus says can be updated to install a self driving system (self driving system) which can be installed through an OTA (over the air) software update at the future when this technology is ready to be developed.



LCM has confirmed that all three Lotus Eletre SUV variants have arrived in the local market, with 140 orders already made. They say that only 200 of these vehicles will be shown in the local market this year.
