The Predator Orion gaming desktop computer series was introduced a few years ago by Acer for those who want a powerful gaming desktop computer. During the recent Acer GPC event, Acer has introduced a new model to the series called the Predator Orion X.
Unlike the previous Predator Orion computer, this Predator Orion X is a small-sized computer that comes with very powerful components. It features an Intel Core i9-13900KS processing chip that can be overclocked up to 6GHz and has 32GB of DDR5 memory and two built-in PCIe 4.0 SSD storage that can be easily changed.
In terms of graphics card offerings, the Predator Orion X houses an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card with a cooler built by Acer Predator itself. This graphics card is capable of running any game at 4K resolution and high settings without a problem, and is even able to run games using the Ray-Tracing function at a high refresh rate.
The uniqueness of this Predator Orion X desktop, apart from its compact size, is that Acer has marked three main zones on this computer to facilitate access to the various components inside.
The first zone houses the CPU, memory and storage components and makes it easy for users to access them. The second zone gives access to the graphics card part, while the third zone gives easy access to clean the ventilation space of this computer.
Although it has a small size, this Predator Orion X comes with a number of plugs and also quite a lot of technological support. Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Type-C, USB 3.2 Type-A, USB 2.0 and RJ-45 plugs are all housed on the back of this computer, and it also supports WiFi 6E internet connection which gives users a fast wireless internet connection.
Acer says that the Predator Orion X gaming desktop will arrive in select markets in September this year at a starting price of $2999. For now it is not known if this product will be offered in the local market or not.
