Early last year when Google's device with a foldable screen was said to be the Pixel Notepad, leakers expected this device to be sold at a cheaper price than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 which is $1400 or around RM5865.
Now this device is said to be the Pixel Fold and a new leaker claims that the selling price of this device is approximately the same as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 ($1799.99) which is $1799 around RM7982.
The device is expected to be announced on May 10 next month during the Google I/O 2023 event. Pre-orders will also start on the same date with sales starting next June 27.
The device that is said to be the Pixel Fold will use a design similar to the Oppo Find N with elements of the Pixel 7 design that everyone already knows. Not sure if Google will stick with a weaker camera than the Pixel 6 as previously reported.
In my experience, if it is true that $1799 is the selling price in America, it means that the price of the import set in Malaysia will probably reach more than RM8300.
