This SSD Uses Artificial Intelligence To Block Ransomware Attacks

For the last few years, the issue of hacking attacks using malware has been on the rise. Sometimes these attacks occur even though the individual or company being attacked has done what they can to keep their company's data safe.

To help companies ensure their data is more secure, Cigent Technology has introduced their latest SSD storage called Cigent Secure SSD+ which comes with an artificial intelligence chip built directly into the storage.

This artificial intelligence chip comes with a malware and ransomware detection system using machine learning to ensure that data entering and exiting the computer is safe and does not occur without the user's permission.

This storage is also bundled with Cigent Data Defense software that allows companies to modify the security settings of their computer devices, with the introduction of multi-factor authentication for each time changes are made to files on the computer, locking certain files on the computer so that they are not shared with others. other devices, or make computer storage as read-only so that no changes can be made to the computer.

This also ensures that if the files of the hacking software are successfully downloaded, they cannot be remotely activated, and they cannot infect the computer with this storage and software, and they cannot spread to other devices.

For now, Cigent says that this Cigent Secure SSD+ storage needs to be installed as the main storage of the computer environment to activate the built-in artificial intelligence security features. For now, this storage also only supports Microsoft Windows operating system software, but says support for Linux is coming soon.

This storage will arrive in selected markets this May, but the storage configuration and performance of this SSD storage is not yet known.
