After years of waiting, there is finally good news for users of Mobvoi's TicWatch smart watch. The much-anticipated Wear OS 3 update will arrive in the third quarter of this year.
The distribution of this update is delayed because Mobvoi has shifted its focus to another project which is likely to be the TicWatch Pro 5 powered by Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1. But this update will only be given to two watches.
The TicWatch E launched in 2021 which is an affordable Snapdragon Wear 4100 smartwatch and the flagship dual-screen TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS launched last year. Sorry to inform TicWatch Pro 3 there is no news about whether it will receive an update or not even though the specifications are more or less the same as the Ultra.
Other Mobvoi Wear OS watches powered by old chips like Snapdragon Wear 3100 even though the chip supports Wear OS 3 users may think to buy a new watch as there is no good news for old model watches.
