Tim Cook Is Now Apple's Longest-Serving CEO

Last Thursday, Tim Cook officially became the longest-serving CEO in Apple history. He overtook the record of 4249 days previously held by the late Steve Jobs. Tim Cook has held the position of CEO of Apple since August 24, 2011 a few weeks before Jobs breathed his last.

Although he has been CEO for 4254 days at Apple, the record for the highest position at Apple is still held by Steve Jobs. Between 1996 and 2010, Jobs held the position of interim CEO of Apple. Therefore Tim Cook will only cut Steve Jobs' achievement in October 2025.

Under Tim Cook, Apple became the first company to reach a market value of $1 trillion and $2 trillion. Apple's income is also now no longer entirely dependent on Mac and iPhone sales under his leadership.
