Twitter Introduces Labels For Tweets That Violate Site Terms

After Twitter was taken over by Elon Musk, he said the platform would provide better freedom of speech than the previous administration. But it opens a Pandora's box of hacks that are seen as violating the site's terms and conditions until it is deleted. Today Twitter introduced a new label that will be displayed under tweets found to be in violation of the platform's terms and conditions of use.

The label will notify the account owner and other users that the hack is now hidden to reduce its spread across the platform. It also gives notice that the tweet violates the terms and conditions in the category of hateful content.

Ads will not be displayed on these widgets and they will be more difficult for other users to find. With this Twitter will not delete tweets out of respect for freedom of expression but will simply limit it
