Twitter Will Remove Legacy Blue Smear On April 20th

Elon Musk announced that the legacy blue smear that users who do not subscribe to Twitter Blue receive will be removed on April 20. This is 20 days later than the original date of April 1 that he previously announced. After this date, only Blue customers will have the identity verification feature.

Despite receiving backlash from legacy blueliners, Twitter refused to change its policy to keep it. It remains to be seen whether Elon Musk's new announcement is another joke. Among the information known so far is that Twitter has to remove the legacy blue smear on the account manually. This is the reason why the original plan to remove the smear on April 1 was postponed.
