Among the signs that the launch is getting closer for a product is that a lot of information about it is leaked. Not only that, but the design will also start to be revealed regardless of whether it is through pictures or videos that go viral. For example what happened to the device with the new foldable screen Vivo X Fold 2.
This new generation will receive a brand new update especially in terms of rear panel design. The first time this device was shown was during the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) 2023. It showed the device in Red color held by the Executive Vice President of Vivo, Hu Baishan and the Secretary General of the Boao Forum, Li Baodong. But now it is shown even more through some real images that are going viral.
As before, the device uses a foldable display concept on the inside. It is then joined with a secondary screen on the outside. The screen is a punch hole for both sides which also supports a single selfie camera. It also still maintains the back panel made of leather-based material.
Even so, this panel is not fully textured but instead has a glossy finish. There is no longer a big square camera bump, on the contrary it is now just round and still thick. The device also still uses the ZEISS camera system as the branding is clearly visible.
Information about the internal hardware of the device is quite limited at the moment. It is however said to be the first device with a foldable screen that supports the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Its benchmark score has also been leaked with a total score of over 1,000,000 points.
