After the design was leaked several times, today Vivo announced the launch of Vivo XFold2 and X Flip will take place on April 20. Also launching alongside these two foldable screen devices is the Vivo Pad 2 tablet.
The launch of the Vivo X Fold2 is highly anticipated because it will be the first foldable screen device with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip while the X Flip is the first folding screen device with a leather design from Vivo. It is still a mystery whether these two devices will be marketed outside of China. As can be seen this year, Oppo did not offer their Find N2 to the global market with only the N2 Flip making it out of China.
BBK Electronics subsidiary's strategy for the past two years is not to compete in the same market. It can be seen that in the affordable flagship category, OnePlus and iQOO alone compete. In the more premium market, Oppo and Vivo are together. Realme sits on the sidelines in the mid-range device market.
