Western Digital Hacked Makes My Cloud Service Inaccessible

 


Western Digital announced that they were the victims of hackers last night where a number of data were stolen. The hack was detected last March 26 but what data was stolen and the impact is still being investigated by Western Digital. As a security measure some services are now stopped. Among those affected is the My Cloud cloud storage service.



This action causes My Cloud users to be angry because it is one of the infrastructures that is important to do work. If it tries to access the site, it only displays the notice "503 Service Temporarily Unavailable". The affected products so far are My Cloud, My Cloud Home, My Cloud Home Duo, My Cloud OS5, SanDisk ibi, and SanDisk Ixpand Wireless Charger. There is no information on when service will be restored at this time.
