The app navigation buttons are at the top which makes it a little difficult with fingers not long enough to press them. But soon the navigation button of WhatsApp will be changed to the bottom which makes it more in line with other applications on smart devices and the same as it has been used on the iOS version.
According to WABetaInfo, the navigation button at the bottom is currently being tested on the Beta app. Typically with Beta testing already done, the feature will be released to the public within a few weeks. It is unknown if these changes are permanent or if users will be given the option to revert to the old interface.
