WhatsApp Beta For Android Tests Privacy Check Features

 Today a lot of updates happen on the Meta messaging app that is WhatsApp. First of all officially users can use one account on many smartphones and then WhatsApp is testing the feature of Status directly shared to Facebook automatically.

Latest on WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.23.9.15, privacy Check feature has been included.

This feature is actually an existing privacy setting on WhatsApp, only now users can check one setting after another to ensure that the appropriate setting has been activated to be safer and personal information more controlled.

In this page WhatsApp says this review is for users to control privacy settings and users can set up WhatsApp as they want. Among those offered are;

Choose who can contact you.

Group control like who can invite you to WhatsApp groups.

Check contact block or unknown number.

Control your personal information.

Choose who can see the profile picture.

Control who can see your last online time.

Turns read receipts on or off.

Add more privacy to your chats.

Set the message to disappear.

Performs end-to-end (end-to-end) encrypted backups.

Add further protection to your account.

Add a lock using a fingerprint scan.

Enable two-factor authentication.

For now this feature is only seen on WhatsApp beta for Android. Not sure if this feature will also be offered to iOS users or not and when this privacy check will be offered to all.
