WhatsApp Status is a feature similar to Instagram Stories that allows users to share voice, photo or text messages directly on this messaging application. By default all contacts can see the user's Status unless hidden through privacy settings.
Recently WABetaInfo reported that Meta is developing new features on WhatsApp. This feature is that WhatsApp can automatically share Statuses that users post to Facebook.
This is the same feature that Instagram already has where Stories can be shared to Facebook automatically. Like Instagram, on WhatsApp there will be an option "Always share to Facebook story" to cross-broadcast Status to two platforms simultaneously.
At the moment it is not certain if this feature will be activated by default or when offered users are free to choose to always share Status to Facebook or only on WhatsApp. Let's wait together.
