WhatsApp which is one of the most used messaging applications is seen to receive a new privacy protection update soon. Known as Chat Lock, it is a feature that allows users to lock and hide certain private and sensitive chat rooms. It can be locked in two different ways either using a fingerprint scan or a password making it difficult for others to access.
But if there is someone who tries to access the smartphone and fails to provide the necessary authentication. They will be prompted to clear messages in the chat room immediately before accessing them. In addition, this Chat Lock feature also helps ensure that every media content such as video or image will be private, where it will not be automatically saved in the phone's gallery.
For now, it is said to be still in development and will receive some improvements before launching the full version. Even so, it is considered attractive because it can promise additional security in the application for users who want to ensure that sensitive conversations remain secure.
