Xiaomi is no stranger to products such as TV boxes or smart televisions. But global sales have not been updated for a long time with the Mi Box S being the last in the global market. Recently Xiaomi is said to want to bring back the Mi Box with new specifications, a different design and using Google TV.
This product is Xiaomi TV Box S 2nd Gen. There is no more use of the "Mi" name and it is clear that this is a sequel or successor to the Mi Box S. This product is already listed on Xiaomi's global website complete with pictures and specifications but no price.
The design looks more or less the same except that the top panel replaces "Mi" with "Xiaomi". This TV box supports 4K display, powered by Cortex-A55 quad-core chip with ARM Mali G31 MP2 GPU, 2GB RAM memory and 8GB internal storage. This Xiaomi TV Box S 2nd Gen also supports WiFi 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.2, supports Dolby Audio, Dolby Vision, and also uses an HDMI 2.1 port.
There is no optical connection for audio but there is still a 3.5mm audio jack port. Each purchase also comes with a remote control. For now the sale price is still unknown. But I expect it to be cheaper than Apple TV 4K 2022 and slightly higher than Mecool KM7 Plus.
