Xioami 13 Ultra Now Official With Brightest Screen And 50MP Leica Quad-Camera

 


Xiaomi 13 Ultra was officially launched today after weeks of designs and information about it leaked to the web arena. The flagship device offered by Xiaomi this year is equipped with a 6.73″ AMOLED LTPO 120Hz screen that can reach a maximum brightness of 2600 nits. This makes it the smartphone with the highest screen resolution in mobile phone history.



This screen is matched with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, memory up to 16GB RAM, storage up to 512GB and a battery of 5000 mAh. The battery supports 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging. The device has a hibernation mode that allows the device to operate for up to 1 hour when the battery reaches 1%.



The quad camera system of the 13 Ultra is definitely the focus of the crowd. It features a 50MP 1″ Sony IMX 989 wide-angle lens with OIS, a 50MP Sony IMX 858 ultra-wide-angle lens, a 50MP Sony IMX 858 telephoto up to 3.2X optical zoom with OIS, and another 50MP Sony IMX 858 telephoto lens with up to 5X optical zoom optical with OIS. This main camera can do digital zoom up to 120X.



On the front, a 32MP sensor is included for taking selfies. The wide-angle lens has an aperture size that can be changed from f/1.9 to f/4.0 to control the light entering the sensor.



According to Xiaomi, the Summicron lens used has a layer that will ensure it is not easily scratched. Xiaomi's goal with the 13 Ultra is to bring back real photography capabilities instead of the computerized photography that is becoming more and more popular now.



In terms of design, it does look premium because of the vegan leather finish on the back. Continuing the design of last year's 12S Ultra which also looks like a classic analog SLR camera. The body of the device also passes the IP68 standard like the two previously launched Xiaomi 13 models.


The device uses MIUI 14 launcher which is based on Android 13. There is still a stereo audio system along with Dolby Vision HDR support as well as satisfactory HDR10+. An under-screen fingerprint scanner completes the specifications of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.



In China the sale price is as below in Olive Green, Professional Black and White options. The device is confirmed to enter the global market but there is no information when it will enter the Malaysian market at this time.
