The COMPUTEX Taipei event will take place next week, and Acer is expected to showcase a number of new products at the event. Products like Predator Orion X and Acer Swift X 16 have already been shown before, and more details about these products will be known at the event.
Another new product to be showcased is the Acer Swift Edge 16, the first Acer Swift laptop powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 7040 processing chip. It houses a 16-inch OLED screen display with a resolution of 3.2K (3200 x 2000) and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It can also process 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut and promises accurate color processing.
In terms of internal components, the Acer Swift Edge 16 is powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 7040 processing chip option, along with a combination of AMD Radeon 780M graphics chip for gaming and creative productivity.
It is also loaded with DDR5 memory options up to 32GB and also 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage for almost unlimited storage.
In terms of plug options, this laptop comes with two USB 3.2 Type-A plugs, two USB4 Type-C plugs, HDMI 2.1 and also an SD card reader. It also comes with support for WiFi 7 wireless internet technology and supports fast internet connection up to 5.8Gbps.
Weighing only 1.23kg as well, it also maintains the status of this laptop series as one of the lightest laptops on the market.
Acer says that the laptop will be available around the third quarter of this year at a starting price of $1299.99.
