CIMB has today started informing all their users, stating that any CIMBClicks transaction, including FPX transactions will require SecureTAC based authentication. With this step, no more SMS will be sent, and users will have to confirm a transaction using the CIMB Clicks or CIMB OCTO application.
As many are aware, CIMB is ready to transition to SecureTAC in stages. After introducing it for a certain amount of transactions, now finally it is fully introduced for all CIMB Clicks banking transactions.
CIMB stated that this is part of a step to further strengthen banking security, and better protect consumers.
For those of you who use CIMB Clicks, you can activate the SecureTAC feature through the CIMB Clicks or CIMB Octo applications on the App Store, and Google Play Store.
