We have a few Appe Pencils at home because some randomly go missing. It may be under the bed, sofa, or on top of the books. We don't know its exact location because unlike other Apple products, the Apple Pencil cannot be tracked using the Find My system.
But Apple has already filed a patent for an Apple Pencil with a built-in speaker system. This will most likely allow it to sound when tracked using the Find My system in the future. Also visible on the patent document is a haptic motor that indicates the Apple Pencil can vibrate.
As always the existence of a patent does not mean that it will become a real product. Apple is known for its habit of filing patents but it takes a long time before they are marketed to consumers.
