iPhone 6 and 6s performance issues are slowed down when the operating system detects low battery health. It was resolved by Apple with Tim Cook apologizing, giving users the option to restore device performance and a free battery replacement program. However, a new lawsuit worth £1.6 billion has been filed in the UK over the current "batterygate" issue.
The lawsuit was filed by Justin Gutmann on behalf of all iPhone 6 and 6s users who experienced reduced performance due to updates provided by Apple. According to him, the lawsuit still needs to be filed because in the United States Apple pays compensation to users in that country for the same issue.
