Every Apple product has an expiration date where when that date is reached the products listed will be completely discontinued including no longer accepted for repair by Apple. This product is listed as obsolete.
MacRumors recently reported that Apple will add two more products to their obsolete list. This time it's Apple Thunderbolt Display and the original Apple iPad Air. These two products will become obsolete on May 31st.
The Apple Thunderbolt Display is an Apple monitor with a 27″ screen size, 1440p resolution, built-in camera, Firewire 800 connection and Thunderbolt connection. While the iPad Air launched in 2013 is an iPad with a 9.7″ screen, powered by an A7 chip, and is a thin and light iPad that is loved by many.
Both of these products have already stopped support and production in 2016. Now each of them has a replacement which is Apple Studio Display and iPad Air M1.
