Apple Wants to Produce MicroLED Display Panels on Its Own – Less Dependent on Samsung

Apple is ready to take a number of steps in reducing dependence on other companies - including from the production of chips, designs, and so on. Most recently, according to initial reports, Apple is also said to want to produce a display panel for their iPhone on their own.

It is said that Apple aims to produce microLED panels on its own, thereby reducing dependence on Samsung. This will allow Apple to control the entire supply-chain, including the various things they want to implement.

According to reports, Apple has spent around $1 billion on microLED research and development over the past decade. As usual, Apple is expected to cooperate and use the production services of several parties to produce these panels in bulk.

For now, it is not known when we will be able to see the results of this panel produced by Apple itself on their products. It may take several more years before it is fully mature and ready for use.
