Apple Watch Series 9 May Be Powered by A15 Bionic Chip

It's not uncommon for smartwatches to use older generation chips. Samsung does it, Google and Apple do the same because the Apple S6, S7 and S8 chips on the Apple Watch Series 6 to Series 8 have the same specifications.

But for Apple Watch Series 9 this year for the first time it will probably use the most powerful chip to date. This is because the clock chip is said to be based on the Apple A15 Bionic which is the chip that powers the iPhone 13 Mini, 13, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max.

The use of a new chip suggests the Apple Watch Series 9 will have twice as fast performance, apps will load faster and drastic changes to battery life. Apple may want to use a more powerful chip because it is rumored that watchOS 10 will go through the biggest changes in the history of the Apple Watch.
