Becoming a Father of 500 Children, This Man Is Prohibited from Being a Sperm Donor

This man in the Netherlands is too excessive sperm donor and is believed to have more than 500 children. He was officially barred from donating any more sperm for fears of increasing the risk of accidental incest among his offspring.

As quoted by us from the New York Post, a man named Jonathan Jacob Meijer, 41 years old, was recently banned by a Dutch court from donating sperm to a clinic.

Meijer, who is a musician, is also required to ask clinics in other countries to destroy any semen they may still have. If he violates the court's decision, Meijer faces a fine of USD 110,000.

The court ruling comes weeks after Meijer was sued for allegedly lying about the number of children he had. That increases the risk of her children accidentally engaging in incest because of the high rates.

He is believed to have donated his sperm to at least 13 clinics, including 11 in the Netherlands. Meijer was already on a donor blacklist in 2017 after it was revealed that he had fathered 102 children, far above the official limit of 25.

"If I had known he had fathered more than 100 children, I would never have chosen this donor," said the plaintiff named Eva, who gave birth to one of Meijer's children in 2018.

"When I think of the consequences it could have had on my son, I feel nauseous. Going to court is the only way to protect my son," she added.

The Dutch DonorKind Foundation alleges in its lawsuit that Meijer, who lives in Kenya, continued to donate sperm to clinics in Denmark and Ukraine. He is thought to have had between 500 and 600 children in total.

He has also reportedly offered himself as a donor to parents-to-be on related websites, sometimes under pseudonyms.
